Lagos-Ibadan Expressway gridlock

Motorists and commuters were stuck on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway for about 24 hours.

The gridlock, which started on Friday evening, stretched to Saturday night, causing many commuters to trek from Berger to Arepo, Magboro, Ibafo and Mowe, in Ogun State.

Our correspondent learnt that the traffic jam was caused by a flooded portion of the road at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Prayer City.

Unable to bear the long hours of traffic, many commuters alighted from buses and rode on commercial motorcyclists to get to their destinations.
