Vogue names Nigerian model one of 7 new male models to look out for

Victor Ndigwe was just like any other
aspiring model in Nigeria, until his story
changed in 2014 after he won the Aquafina Elite
Model Look competition in Nigeria in 2014. Now,
he’s been named one of the 7 new male models
to watch out for by Vogue .
Victor Ndigwe had tried in 2012 but didn’t
get a chance at the Elite Model look and then
he got his big break in 2014, winning the
competition alongside Mayowa Nicholas.
From then he has modeled in Milan, walking for
Ermenegildo Zegna and Missoni , as the first
ever Nigerian male model to do so. After that
he went on to Paris , where he made walked for
brands including Hermès, Balmain, Kenzo and
Haider Ackermann!
In speaking to Vogue , Victor said, “I want to
inspire other models that have dreams the same
way I had them. I just want to be a good
example.”
He has gone on to a Missoni campaign
alongside Freja Beha Erichsen; and he is on the
edge of stardom. He’s 19 years-old, studying
Applied Mathematics and getting super stardom.
